Tijl

Tijl Schutz (they/them) is a Director, Animator, Filmmaker, Artist and currently a 3rd year Animation Design student at Artez University of the Arts in Zwolle, The Netherlands.

Tijl started their creative journey at 5 years old, inspired by Stephen Spielbergs “Jurassic Park” with making comics and small movies with their brother with a love for directing, acting, filmmaking, 2d animation and storytelling

With a Background in Motion Design, Film, Editing and Videomarketing Tijl aims to expand their artistic expression at ArtEZ with the 2d Animation Medium. Exploring topics as Gender, The physical body, Politics and Social norms.

With a love for Animation and the Animation Process, Tijl has worked on multiple films during their acedemic period both digitally and analogue and is currently working on his latest charcoal animated short “Kriebel” (”Itch”)
